[Interview] Planet in Bloom: Everglow at Skyview

On April 15th, The Shops at Skyview treated Queens residents to “Planet in Bloom,” a first-of-its-kind Earth Day celebration fusing K-Pop with environmental sustainability. The ever-growing Everglow graced attendees with their superstar presence for an evening of eco-friendly festivities. The quartet took a tour pit stop at Skyview to celebrate community and culture with their adoring fans.

A moving display of artist-redesigned clothing, donated by the Everglow members themselves, was truly a focal point of the event. Their touching donations incentivized fans to contribute their own gently used spring clothing to the “Everglow Kindness Drive,” held in partnership with the Queens Borough President’s Office to benefit families in need across the borough.

Fusing K-Pop with charity was a stroke of genius on Skyview’s part. After all, K-Pop is known for the deep connection between fans and idols; when an idol performs a good deed, it’s only natural that fans want to follow in their footsteps. The union of Everglow’s and the fans’ hearts to spark change was something all attendees will carry with them for a long time.

A Quick Catch-up with K-ALL

K-ALL sat down with the girl group for a quick check-in on their favorite moments while traveling on the RE:CODE tour.

Touring involves a lot of travel and long hours together. Can you share any funny stories?

Aisha: On the airplane, we “cheers” each other when we have a meal. That’s the most fun time for us. Enjoying our meal with a “cheers!” on the plane is so much fun!

Onda: That moment really was fun!
